"Hearts grow fonder" by Tommy Emmanuel (instrumental)
>From the Dare to be different album
Transcribed by Steve M. (maxmar@wire.net.au)
I worked out most of this song after watching tommy play it on his
"guitar talk" video and just put in the missing pieces. I haven't
tried working out that nifty acoustic solo yet, but anyhow, enjoy.
Tuning: normal
b = bend
/ = slide up
\ = slide down
v = vibrato
h = hammer on
p = pull off
^ = palm mute
Riff 1 - electric guitar (with a little distortion)
e --7h9-9p7-5-------------------------|---------------------|
B ------------5v--------5-5h7---------|----------5----------|
G ---------------/6-7-7-------7-6-4v--|--4-6-6/7---7-7p6p4--|

This last bar is played at a fairly rapid pace.
e --------------------------7/9\7---7\5-5v--|
B ----------------5-------5-----------------|
G --4-6-6/7-6-6/7---4/6-7---------8-(\6)----|

E ------------------------------------------|
Now play riff 1 again, but replace the last bar (above) with this:
e --------------------------7/9\7-5v--|
B ----------------5-------5-----------|
G --4-6-6/7-6-6/7---4/6-7-------------|

Here's the next part which is played at around 1:00 into the track.

Well that's it for now, the rest of the song (apart from the acoustic
solo)
is just variations on riff 1, with a few extra bits here and there.
