SONG: SIR DUKE ARTIST: STEVIE WONDER TABBER: iknowflea Yes, my friends. Sir Duke by Stevie Wonder is now tabbed. Anyone who has heard this song knows that it is amazingly difficult on the bass, but here it is in its full glory. Of course, there may be mistakes, but that’s understandable on a challenge such as this, man. Here we go: INTRO (0:16) G:-11p9h11------------------------------------------------------------- D:----------4-2-------------------------------------------------------- A:--------------64----------------------------------------------------- E:--------------------------------------------------------------------- VERSE (normal): G:--------------------------------------------------------------------- D:-----x9---------x6---------x5---------x42---------------------------- A:---9----9-----6----6-----5----5-----4----64-------------------------- E:-7--------7-4--------4-3--------3-2---------------------------------- G:-----------------------------------------4--------------------------- D:-----x9---------x6---------x5---------43~---------------------------- A:---9----9-----6----6-----5----5-----4-------------------------------- E:-7--------7-4--------4-3--------3-2---------------------------------- PRE-CHORUS G:--------------------------------------------------------------------- D:--------------------------------------------------------------------- A:--------------------------------------------------------------------- E:-7766554455667/1919--7766554445699----------------------------------- CHORUS (X2) G:------------------x10x----------------------------------------------- D:-----x9x-------10------10-----9-------------------------------------- A:---9-----9---8------------8-7---9-76--------799---------------------- E:-7---------7-------------------------99-911-------------------------- COOL ASS BREAKDOWN (played very fast): G:-----------------------4-678--/13---11------------------------------- D:----------64-646-----46----------13---11~13-11-9----11-9—-9~--------- A:------64-6--------456---------------------------11-9----11----------- E:-7--7-----------7---------------------------------------------------- G:--------------------------------------------------------------------- D:-/13-11-9-11-9--9---------------------------------------------------- A:--------------11--11-9-11-9---9-------------------------------------- E:----------------------------11-11-97974242--------------------------- G:--------4-4---------------------------------------------------------- D:------46-6--646-424-------------------------------------------------- A:---246---------------22---------------------------------------------- E:-24------------------------------------------------------------------ REPEAT 1st HALF VERSE 2nd HALF VERSE W/FILLS: G:---------------------------------------------------4----------------- D:-----8h9p8h9---------x6---------4h5p4h5---------43~------------------ A:---9---------9-----6----6-----5---------5-----4---------------------- E:-7-------------7-4--------4-3-------------3-2------------------------ PRE-CHORUS CHORUS X4 (there may be a few changes in here, not too hard to figure out.) COOL ASS BREAKDOWN LAST CHORUS W/FILLS (X4) G:-------------------------8--8-11-8----------------------------------- D:-----8h9p8h9-------x10-10-10------10-9---9--------------------------- A:---9---------9---8---------------------7---7-76---------7-99--------- E:-7-------------7--------------------------------99-9-11-------------- REGULAR CHORUS X2 COOL ASS BREAKDOWN And that’s it! I totally devoted my life to figuring out this masterpiece of a song, so I’m pretty sure it’s almost 100% correct. If you catch anything, send a correction. This is my first tab in like a year, so hopefully it's all good.
