Drop D Tuning
Y. Tim K. uses a delay pedal pretty much for most of this song.  He isn't playing the 8/10 slide part four times in the intro, its just the delay pedal kicking in.  He is really only playing 
it twice... the second beat and the fourth beat.  That is the reason for the solo slide in the very beginning that isn't included with the rest of the intro.  It starts the delay effect.  He turns it on again at the beginning of the pre-chorus and lets the 8/10 slide fade out.

if you do want the proper sound you need a delay pedal, and some skill.
