This song is in Standard E Tuning ( EADGBe )

Alright, there are two riffs throughout this song.

There is a VERY easy way to play this song and a somewhat more difficult way.

First, the Very Easy-- (Can also be the rhythm guitar players part)

The whole song is just A and D.

The Main/Verse/Intro Riff is this:

e-|----2------2-2-2-2----
B-|----3--2---3-3-3-3----
G-|-2--2--2---2-2-2-2--2-
D-|-2--0--2---0-0-0-0--2-
A-|-0-----0------------0-
E-|----------------------

Then the Chorus is:

e-|----------2--2-2-222----
B-|----------3--3-3-333----
G-|-2-2-222--2--2-2-222--2-
D-|-2-2-222--0--0-0-000--2-
A-|-0-0-000--------------0-
E-|------------------------

Trust me, this way sounds great, unless on the off chance you might have someone who
knows this song like the back of their hand listening and can tell that there are a few differences.

Then try this a little (but not much) tougher way--

Instead of using the basic "A5" or A power chord, use this:

e-|-5-
B-|-5- If you're like me and have got small hands, using your little finger
G-|-2- will be hard to get to those 5 s, but after some practice you will
D-|-2- get used to it.
A-|-0-
E-|---

I realized that something did not sound quite right while I was playing the easy version.
There were a few notes higher than what I was playing so I added on those 2 notes from the A Barre chord.

And instead of using the basic "D" chord, try adding the little finger to make this:

e-|-2-------------
B-|-3-----------3-
G-|-2--or-just--2-
D-|-4-----------4-
A-|---------------
E-|---------------

I discovered the second way while learning to play "Crazy Train" by Black Sabbath.
In that song the chord changes are so fast it would be almost impossible for me (I'm slow) to play
the first way. I just put the first way there so "theory people" would know what I was talking about.

Main riff:

e-|-5-----5------------5-
B-|-5--3--5---3-3-3-3--5-
G-|-2--2--2---2-2-0-0--2-
D-|-2--4--2---4-4-4-4--2-
A-|-0-----0------------0-
E-|----------------------

Chorus:

e-|-5-5-555---------------5-
B-|-5-5-555--3---3-3-333--5-
G-|-2-2-222--2---2-2-222--2-
D-|-2-2-222--4---4-4-444--2-
A-|-0-0-000---------------0-
E-|-------------------------

The solo I can't help you on but it sounds like it uses a lot of hammer ons.
I just fake a solo on a A minor pentatonic scale.
